Bio

Chloé Aïcha Bor was born in Dédougou, Burkina Faso. After earning her degree in literature, she worked as a press journalist before transitioning to the audiovisual field. In 2005, she won the Galian Prize for her work as a television presenter on the show Koodo. In 2006, publisher L'Harmattan released her autobiographical novel Paroles d'orpheline. In 2012, she co-directed the African festival "Cases Normandes" in Normandie. Sur les traces de Salimata, her debut film, was also released that year. "Farafin Ko", her first feature-length documentary, co-directed in 2014, was selected and awarded prizes at several international film festivals. Her most recent film, "Al Djanat", won the jury prize at the fifth edition of Majordocs for the director's 'objective, intimate and profound look' at her family in the Mandinka culture.
