

From her beginnings in the restoration of graphic documents to her specialization in cinema, Clara Sánchez Dehesa reveals the challenges and secrets of film archives. Passionate about domestic and amateur cinema, she has promoted initiatives such as the Day of Home Cinema in Vitoria, inviting the community to share their home movies, thus highlighting their historical and emotional value.
Clara also highlights the educational work of the archives, comparing their materiality to the wrinkles of the skin, since both reveal their history and care. It inspires us to appreciate the intrinsic value of moving images, and to celebrate our collective visual memory as a source of material for future films as well.

Clara Sánchez Dehesa was trained at the prestigious L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation in Rochester, NY. With a diverse career, she has worked in collections management, restoration and training. Since the inauguration of the Master's Degree in Archiving at the Elías Querejeta Film School, she has been its coordinator. He regularly collaborates with public archives such as the Filmoteca Navarra and the Archive of the Historical Territory of Álava. He has carried out restoration projects for Tabakalera and individuals, and disseminates his profession through courses, talks and his blog. An active member of national and international associations, it has a wide network of professional collaborators.
